How to do water marble nail art.?

Okay i have really short nails but i really like the water marble look. I have tried it many times and i cant get it ever to look right on all of my fingers. i can only get it to look right on like 1 finger. If you have a video or can explain to me how to do it that would be wonderful. Thank you.
