What does the bible mean by saying "be drunk with the holy ghost not with wine" mean?

It looks like you're quoting ephesians 5:18. Some bible translations have less clear renderings of scriptures then others. A different translation more clearly phrases the scripture "also do not be getting drunk with wine in which there is debachery, but keep getting filled with spirit." On a side note the bible does not condemn the drinking of alcohol, it does however condemn overdrinking. Drinking alcohol in moderation is acceptable from a biblical standpoint.
