Former Christians into atheists?

First, what led you to Christ. Second, why did you give up? Don't tell me cause he didn't exist, you may never felt him because you never fully opened those doors and clearly gave up too soon. And don't use "researched" the bible, the bible isn't mean to be read as a chore but as a way to understand God's teaching. Even former Christians I have heard them misinterpret sayings in the bible, or when they write a scripture they cut out the most important parts to prove a point. But what did the Devil successfully do to you that drove you to denying God?
