Can you take off acrylic nails after having them on for only a few days?

I want to get acrylic nails for a wedding that im in. But I also have soccer practice monday-friday and i am a goalie so im scared that they might break if there is a hard shot at me. So i was wondering if i get them can i take them off if i only have had them for about 2 days?
